Design without empathy is useless

I’m an outstanding UX researcher, an excellent project manager, and a developing UX designer.

Yeah, I wear several hats at once, and I can do all of them well. But here’s what ties those things together:

The focus is always empathy.

UX isn’t just my job, it’s my passion.

As technology becomes more automated, more streamlined, and more ubiquitous, who’s going to look out for the little guy?

That’s why I’m here.

I love talking to people to figure out how to solve problems together. I love speaking with users during interview sessions. I love working with developers to ensure our final designs match user needs. I love mentoring new UXers so they can become teachers themselves someday!

It’s work worth doing. Because others are worth working for.

A picture of me in the Gucci store on 5th Avenue in New York City. I am pretending to have a conversation with a mannequin.

She was very funny when you got to know her, I swear.

Where did your logo come from?

The symbol I use for my site is called a triskelion, an ancient symbol depicting interwoven arms meeting at a center. It was primarily used by Celtic and druidic tribes in ancient Europe.

My family history traces back to western Ireland and southern Italy, where triskelions can still be seen in many different variations. Not only is it emblematic of my family history, but its three swirling arms are reminiscent of the three main skillsets I bring to the UX craft – research, management and design.

Just as the whirling arms of the triskelion weave together in the center to form one cohesive whole, I find that each UX skill I possess invariably affects and connects with the others.
